Gum Disease

Gum disease is a very common dental problem in adults, although it can set in at any age.

With the onset of gum disease it can be a slow painless process, this results in you not realising until it has already done damage. This can result in tooth loss.

By having regular check ups and cleans we can detect if this is happening and put a treatment plan in action for you. This can help prevent gum disease, treat it if necessary, and reverse it if the condition is detected in its early stages.

By having a good oral hygiene routine at home and visiting your dentist for regular check-ups, this can help prevent the onset of gum disease.

Gum hygiene treatment include teeth cleaning and scaling, and we may advise preventative products such as fluoride rinses and gels. In some cases you may need some deeper cleaning on certain teeth, If this is the case your dentist or dental hygienist will use a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort during the treatment.
